The uncertainty fox
Beware of her slice
Her teeth bare against you
Her veins full of ice

She’s sly as she stalks you
Her measurements clear
Her aim isn’t nuchal
Rather ear to ear

Her nails are like whispers
Her paws hard as stone
And yet her prowl silent
She’s never alone

Suspicion the owl
Doubts character all night
While the skunk jealousy
Slinks in for the fight

In a whirlpool they spin you
Black eyes with a gleam
And nothing they touch
Ever washes quite clean

Take heed if the fox
Approaches your door
Unlike false the lion
There’s never a roar.
